Cities and the dead

Memory is essential to all our lives.without a memory of the past we cannot operate in the present or think about our future. Things that we see or hear in our everyday lives get stored into our subconcious or  consious mind and eventually become a memory. The second line in the passage reads ‘streets are completely filled with dirt, clay packs the room to the ceiling , on every stair another stairway is set in negative’. This precise description shows how all these little details are stored into the writers subconsious mind. For example the passage reads ‘ over the roof of the houses hang layers of rocky terrain like skies with clouds. We do not if the inhabitants can move about the city’. This potrays a negative experience as it shows that the inhabitants of the city might be in danger, thus the expeience may largly affect our consious mind and become a bad memory.
